Remembering World War 1 November 2014

We remembered the 100th Anniversay of World War 1 by having a whole school assembly. Each class chose a topic related to the war, studied and researched it in class, and showcased their work at the assembly. It was a very interesting and emotional day.

The hall was decorated with artwork from every class with reference to the Great War.

Primary 1 made poppy hats and recited a poem about wearing poppies to remember those who fought for us.

Primary 2 sang a lovely song.

Primary 3 recited lovely poems.

Primary 4 performed their research.

Primary 5 looked at the role of children during the war.

.

Primary 6 looked at the role of animals in the Great War.

r

Primary 7 researched the Christmas Day Cease Fire.
